understand intent - make messaging actionable
The web has changed the way we do business, from how we find, serve, procure, manage and support our businesses and customers. While e-commerce has become commonplace thanks to search, workflow automation, and online collaboration, we are limited in tools that can assist us in actually understand the emails and messages we receive or send.
While no automated system can handle the irregularities of language, spelling errors and punctuation, customers have found that Cruxly can catch close to 90% of all action items and commitments. Take a look at the following message that was processed by Cruxly. It accurately captures and highlights requests (yellow) and commitments (green).

Since its founding, Cruxly has been working on developing and refining multiple generations of its intent detection technology using sophisticated natural language (initial service is for English) processing.
Cruxly’s intention detection service parses the content of your messages and identifies actionable intent using its proprietary library of grammar rules in real-time. Actionable intent includes when questions or requests are made of the receiver or the receiver makes a commitment or promise that the sender was awaiting.
Cruxly does not rely on simple punctuation such as question marks, although we do account for punctuation for complex sentence structure. While no automated software can guarantee capturing intent in language given the vagaries of the English language – bad grammar, bad punctuation, and bad spelling – our experience has shown that Cruxly is better than 85% effective in catching intent. From our customers’ experiences and our own, we have found that Cruxly’s intention detection is remarkably reliable, and like all good technology developers, we eat our own caviar :-).
HTTP API
The easiest and most common usage is to call our HTTP API from your application that receives or send messages. The API will process the message body you provide and return JSON with actionable text, questions or commitments. Test drive the API here
